Best service Delicious food Still dreaming of the dosa and the shrimp curry. We got it spicy with the coconut rice and it was literally perfect. We had some apps and they were good but I kind of wished I got two dosa's and two curries to try the other dosa's and curries out. Because they had unique flavors and I knew it was a good sign when half the restaurant was Indian people. Get a reservation or come early to get a table. We had to wait but it was worth it.
Fantastic food! The curry was the star of the show, however the paper dosa was also delicious and absolutely massive. Highly recommend if you appreciate good Indian food. Order the habanero chutney on the side.
We carried out dinner from Paper Dosa after seeing all the stellar reviews and also as a recommendation from our Airbnb host. We were starving so ended up ordering quite a few dishes, all of which were so good and flavorful. You will not be disappointed no matter which dish you choose. This place is popular though so it was packed when we went to pick up our food. The pick up window wasn't the friendliest but nonethessless amazing food. Give it a try!
my husband has been wanting to go here for a long time so we finally got to go. He was very happy with his choice, me definitely not. Our service was absolutely stellar and management did everything right.
The reviews that say the food didn't have flavor ??? Questionable because this was so yummy! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our dishes very much and we had left overs to take home. The prawn curry was delicious and not fishy. The masala dosa was sooooo delicious, gosh I wish my belly could fit more. The chicken was a bit spicy still enjoyable for us , it's served with yogurt, not my fave pairing but didn't matter. My bf ordered a mango lassi to go and he said it was good but he's had better. We went on a Friday at 830 (closes at 9) and it was PACKED. Barely made the cut. Even though they were so busy, the service was still great, people were kind and attentive. Didn't even have to wait too long for our food. The place is very cute, especially the outside. We weren't able to sit there but I would definitely come back for a romantic date night there. Plan to wait because I heard they don't take reservations for parties less than 6 and gets full quickly. Worth the wait just have to be patient. Parking lot is smaller considering how many the place can fit and how busy it gets . Can't wait to come back!
We ordered takeout from Paper Dosa and ordered the following: 1 Chennai Chicken 1 Mushroom Medley Uttapam 1 Classic Masala Dosa 1 Paneer and Peas 1 Spicy Basil Dosa 1 White Truffle Masala Dosa 2 Side Plain Basmati Rice We absolutely loved their food! My favorite dosa was the white truffle dosa hands down. But the spicy basil was very vegetal. Their food as a whole was flavorful and excellent. We would have dined in if our time had allowed.
Chutney Champions and Sambar Symphony We walked into Paper Dosa with hearts set on a South Indian adventure, and oh boy, did they deliver! The dosa, a crispy golden cylinder, arrived accompanied by a vibrant army of chutneys. Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, from the tangy coconut to the fiery tomato. The sambar, the soul of any South Indian meal, was a revelation. Rich, complex, and brimming with vegetables, it was a symphony of spices that had us scraping the bottom of the bowl. If you're feeling adventurous, ask the staff for their recommendations on the fusion dishes. You might just discover your new favorite flavor combination!
We came in with high expectations and this place delivered. Authentic chutneys accompanied the dosa, and the sambar was packed with flavors, which is always a good sign. The highlights of our meal were the appetizers- the sliders, bhel puri and squash soup - all delicious. Although, the Puli Jeera (Tamarind) soda and the paneer+peas dosa filling- both lacked flavor. Overall, with an army of hardworking staff and a variety of south indian fusion dishes to choose from, this restaurant has managed to carve a niche out for itself in a town that has tons of new mexican/southwestern restaurants to offer.
Paper Dosa is definitely one of the best restaurants in Santa Fe! The food there is so flavorful and delicious--I'm particularly in love with the prawn moilee (so rich and wonderfully spiced, and the shrimp were fresh and tender) and the idli fries (super crispy and came with a nice spicy dip!). We also ordered the lamb keema dosa and pakoras. The pakoras were different from ones I'd had before, as in they were much smaller pieces rather than like a fritter, but still crispy and tasty. Cocktails were also delicious! The atmosphere is lovely and service was very kind; it was definitely one of the nicer restaurants I went to in Santa Fe, and the prices reflect that, with dosas around $14-$16 and curries in the $20 range. If I had to choose one restaurant to return to in Santa Fe, it'd definitely be this one!
This was around my 4th visit and it never disappoints! I still will come back and have more things I want to try and other things I keep coming back for. Amazing food and wait staff.
